Christmas Time

OK, so I am really bad at keeping up with my blog. I know, I know I'm a slacker when it comes to updating my blog. Anyway, back to our exciting life. Things are well we had a wonderful Thanksgiving as some friends of ours. The day after we put up the Christmas tree and the girls have been excited ever since. Last weekend we had our ward Christmas party and the girls got to see Santa, Abbey asked for a scooter, Amber wants the Princess talking kitchen and Ashley wants wanted of those vtech laptop computers. So they have all told Santa what they wanted for Christmas. I think we are going to have a wonderful time. Ferrin has moved to a different department at work he is now helping with getting rid of the foreclosed homes for the bank. Abbey is doing well at school except the morning's she claims that she hates school until she gets there. Amber and Ashley play very well with each other at home although there are times when they get bored and what to play with other friends. Abbey had her class Christmas party this past Wed. they even set up a plate of goodies for her sisters. It is fun seeing her at school and enjoying herself. She absolutely loves her teachers.

Where does time go

I can't believe that Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I'm still trying to get over Halloween. I feel like time goes by so fast and I'm still stuck in October. With everything going on in my life and the world around me I find myself a little overwhelmed I am hanging in there. I knew that once school started for Abbey there would be some changes that I would have to meet as well. For instance waking up at 5:30 or 6:00 in the morning get Abbey ready for school and off at 7:30am the schools here start at 8:00 and get out at 2:20. Of course Abbey was gun ho for the first couple weeks now she hates school and she has started crying every time I drop her off. I think she just hasn't woken up yet. When I pick up from school she is a completely different person so happy and silly. I blame the morning for her unhappiness, I have to admit I feel the same way in the morning. I wonder what it feels like to sleep in. I guess I will have to wait on that for awhile. Anyway, Abbey is doing excellent in school she loves her teacher and is keeping up with her class. Amber and Ashley are doing well they have been playing very well with each other, but there are times when they want to play with other kids. I just need to set up some play dates with some moms in the ward. They also can be a pain especially if they don't get their way. If either one of them get's mad at you watch out because they will call you horrible names such as "You Gecko" they picked that word up off the gieco commercial because of the gecko at first they used the word gieco until I corrected them that the lizard is a gecko and now they call me "gecko". All my girls are great and I love them their are times where I just sit and watch them play and interact with each other. Okay, I'm sure you've all been wondering whether Ferrin still has a job or not. He does and it looks like he will continue to have a job. He has applied to a different department in the company and it looks promising so we will let you know what happens. Since I have procrastinated and haven't put any pictures up for Halloween I will do that now. Enjoy.

Same Sex Marriage Propositions

Now I know we do not live in California nor any of the other states that are voting on the same sex marriage propositions, but that doesn't mean that we can sit back and not voice our opinion...especially after the Church leaders have requested that we do so. I was alerted to this video and some others that I would like to post to show that especially in California, proposition 8 needs to pass, just as proposition 22 passed and then was over ruled by the liberal judges in California. Please...voice your opinion, stand up for your rights and those of your children. Fight this tooth and nail so that our children won't have to.

CampOut

This past Friday I decided that we, as a family, needed to do something fun together. So, I came up with a plan to have a campout in our backyard. The girls were really excited about it, I called Ferrin at work and told him my plan and he thought it was a great idea. I got everything out that we would need to have a campout, Ferrin set up the tent we borrowed a chimnea from our neighbor's so that we can have a fire and roast marshmallows. Everyone was having fun sitting around the fire and eating marshmallows. When it came time to sleep Amber began to get nervous and asked to go inside because she thought she was going to freeze to death. It did get cold that night the temperature was at 50 degrees. Amber ended up sleeping with Ferrin and I. Abbey and Ashley were sleeping in the same tent it took them awhile to go to sleep because they were excited to be sleeping in a tent. We all finally went to sleep well some of us. I however, could not sleep at all I layed there trying to block out all the noise I could but it was no use. With sirens blaring and dogs barking I just couldn't get to sleep. I then thought I had forgotten to close the garage door so I crawled out of the tent to got check when I was inside the house I looked at the time and it was only midnight I thought "you've got to be kidding, this night is never going to end." When I saw that the garage door was closed I went back to the tent and Ferrin woke up saying it was cold and we should go inside and I agreed, only because I couldn't sleep with all the noise outside. So, I guess you can say we at least attempted to campout we did have fun before we went to bed. Here are some pics of out campout enjoy.

Starting School!

Well it's official Abbey is now in Kindergarten I can't believe how fast time came for her to start school. She has been so excited to start. She started Aug. 28 and we all took her the first day. I was surprised because she did a very good job at listening and never cried. It was after two days that she started to cry and didn't want me to leave her. She did get over it once I left though. Abbey is becoming a beautiful bright young lady and very stubborn. She definanlty has her moments when she doesn't want to do want is asked of her. She has also started soccer season and her first game was Sat. Sept. 13. Abbey loves playing soccer and I think she will continue to stick with it. Amber and Ashley were sad to see Abbey start school and now they are wanting to go to school as well. I told them when you turn 5 you will start school. I did quit my job so that I can be home I am so glad that I quit it just wasn't working for me or my family there was no point in me wasting my time at a job that wasn't helping us anyway. The girls were happy when they heard I would be staying home with them. I am also less stressed when I'm not working a full time job. Ferrin is still with Wachovia it sounds like things will work out for us. We are not getting our hopes up just yet until we know for sure he keeps his job. Anyways, our family is doing well everyone is happy. I will really attempt to do better at keeping my blog up dated I know I'm horrible doing this kind of stuff. Everytime I sit at the computer my brain goes dead and I sit and stare at the computer saying to myself "what was it I was going to write about" so I am making it a goal to at least write on my blog once a week. We'll see how it goes. Love you all.
